Blog Design

I was unhappy with several things in my blog design, so I've been messing around this afternoon. I'd love your thoughts. And sorry, I'm not done tinkering.

I know, I know, I hate change, too.

I made the changes for several reasons:

1. I like the border around each post to set off each post as its own.

2. I can do images side by side much easier. I think that looks more pleasing, visually.

3. I added links to my kindle books. Since google took away my ads, the books are my only revenue source from the blog. I've been too lazy to figure out how to do different ads. Besides, I'm very proud of my books, so I want to feature them.

4. I like the pink color theme. Shocking, I know.

5. I'm messing with fonts. I'm a font snob when I can be. I'm not happy yet with them, so if you have comments on font preferences for blogs, please let me know.

6. I removed my "blogs I follow" section. I'll add them back when I'm done tinkering.

UPDATE:

Anon makes a good point about reading blogs on mobile devices. I have not tested the new design on my iPhone or my iPad.

I also share the concerns about pink. Every sissy has pink. That's what originally stopped me from using pink a few years ago. I'm not sure the pink will stay.

Alamo Preacher

I just want all my followers to go read and follow Alamo Preacher. Alamo was one of my huge inspirations to start writing.

Someone asked me what stories I liked. Well, Alamo's story, The Path of Least Resistance was probably the story that MOST influenced me to write.

So, um, go read and follow Alamo's blog and go read The Path of Least Resistance.

Ritemate asked in the comments if my creativity for blogging went down because of my "release" by Emily. 

Yes, it does go down, but that's not the only reason.

I've been pouring some of my creativity into the conclusion to Room and Board, which is up to 10,000 words. Don't know if it good or if anyone will like it, but it's in progress, and that's where some of my creative juices go.

That said, it is a fair question. Yes, having Emily back give me a release.

Ritemate also asks, "don’t you miss the intensity of your feelings, your desperate craving for Emily?"


Oddly, or maybe not oddly at all, yes, yes, yes, I miss that, yes. But our relationship is not all play like it was when she was gone for three weeks in Dallas. Sometimes it is just life.

Love that you read my blog. I assume that was tongue in cheek. Otherwise, you don't quite understand me or my relationship with her.

Jayme was right in response. There is no way that I'd EVER dump Emily. She is my best friend and the love of my life.

Okay, just had to get that off my chest.

Half a Million

Holy crap y'all, I'm going to hit 500,000 visitors today. You all are amazing and I love every one of you and I write and post for you as much as I do for me!
